Seán Kelliher is a multi instrumentalist from Killarney, Co. Kerry primarily known for his banjo and guitar playing. From a very young age, Seán always had a passion for performing traditional Irish music. In 2013, Sean took home gold at the All Ireland Fleadh in Derry. In 2016, Sean was awarded the Micheál Ó hEidhin medallion in Comhaltas headquarters in Dublin for receiving 4 distinctions from his Senior Cycle 8 Comhaltas examination. To date, Seán has performed all over Ireland while also travelling across the world on many different occasions with several different bands, groups and dance shows. Sean has travelled to parts of England, Wales, France, Germany. Sweden, Italy and The Netherlands. Recently, Sean has toured around China, to parts of Beijing and Shanghai, as part of the 2019 St Patrick's day celebrations while also travelling to the USA to perform at the NAFSA Conference in Washington D.C in May of 2019. Sean is a full time member with the renowned dance show "Celtic Steps the Show" and is also a member of both "3 on the bund" and "The Rising", two well known Irish music groups. Seán is currently studying Performing Arts (Irish music) at the Irish world Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick.
